Jesse Brunskill – General Manager

Having worked in the Queensland and Tasmanian Construction market for over 25 years, Jesse has proven experience across a wide range of major civil infrastructure projects.

Jesse has a demonstrated track record of building successful teams, providing support and encouragement to solve complex issues through new techniques or ideas.

Joining the BlackCap team in 2024, Jesse provides strong leadership across the business and ensures ongoing high levels of commitment and control within projects.

Amanda Wass – Business Manager

Amanda has grown up in the earth moving industry and has been working in Civil Construction businesses for over 17 years.

Since joining the BlackCap team in 2021, Amanda has grown with the business, combining her knowledge of finance and business administration and is now in the role of Business Manager.

Amanda oversees the financial and accounting process, asset management as well as payroll and HR.

Tom Hutchinson – CONSTRUCTION Manager

Born and raised in Tasmania, Tom is proud to be contributing to the future of the state's infrastructure. With 10 years of experience in the civil infrastructure industry, Tom has spent the last 4 years at BlackCap, where he joined as Project Manager, with a recent move to the role of Construction Manager in early 2025.

Tom has successfully led the delivery of a range of projects for BlackCap, including the Channel Highway Reconstruction, Proctors Road Redevelopment, Kingborough Park and Ride Stage 2, and the On-Road Traveller Information System. Tom is focused on maintaining a strong, collaborative approach within his project teams and building lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
